Long Beach Garden: Modern Residential Design

Unveiling the Beauty of Hong Kong's Sea View

The design of Long Beach Garden, created by Stephen Yuen and Ray Leung, is inspired by the breathtaking sea view and the iconic Tsing Ma Bridge in Hong Kong. This modern residential project showcases a simple yet sophisticated design that perfectly complements its surroundings.

Long Beach Garden stands out with its unique features and strengths. The predominantly white color scheme, combined with high contrast accents, creates a modernized style that exudes elegance. The designers have meticulously crafted custom furniture pieces, including a storage platform, electric bed, and tall cabinet in the bathroom, to cater to the specific needs of the residents. Additionally, a hidden door system seamlessly integrates the laundry room, storage room, and corridor, forming the backbone of the flat.

Realizing the vision of Long Beach Garden required the expertise of Stephen Yuen and Ray Leung's design team. With their own factory, they were able to meet the diverse material selection and design preferences of their clients. Specialized door hinges from Japan were incorporated into the video and audio tall cabinet with a hidden door in the living room. The furniture in the flat is made using high-quality materials sourced from Germany and Italy, ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal. Cutting-edge technology, such as electric door locks, electric bed hinges, electric window curtains, and the iAuto lighting system, further enhances the modernistic feel of the flat.

Long Beach Garden spans 1300 square feet, offering ample space for comfortable living. The design team focused on space planning, including the creation of an open kitchen by knocking down walls. To provide a clear visualization of the design, 3D renderings were prepared before the construction process began.

The Long Beach Garden project commenced in September 2015 and was completed in September 2016. Throughout the design process, the team conducted extensive research to identify durable materials for the furniture. Ultimately, they selected Egger, a renowned brand, to ensure the longevity and quality of the pieces.

Designing in a small living area like Hong Kong presented its own set of challenges. However, Stephen Yuen, Ray Leung, and their team successfully addressed these obstacles by creating innovative storage solutions and maximizing the use of space for their clients.

Long Beach Garden is a testament to the seamless integration of modern and industrial styles. The storage platform, electrical hydraulic bed, and hidden doors exemplify the ingenuity and attention to detail that Olezo brings to their designs. The light wooden flooring adds warmth to the space, accentuating the furniture colors and utilizing high-wear resistance materials for longevity.

This exceptional design has been recognized with the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2017. The award acknowledges the outstanding creativity and resourcefulness demonstrated by the designers, who have successfully incorporated best practices in art, science, design, and technology. Long Beach Garden not only enhances the quality of life for its residents but also contributes to making the world a better place.
