All is Full of Love: A Masterpiece of Residential Design

Ling-Fang Huang's Award-Winning Design Maximizes Space and Family Connection

Ling-Fang Huang's design is inspired by the needs and future aspirations of the homeowner. Every detail and arrangement is meticulously planned to meet the homeowner's needs, from the position of the stairs to the location of the living room, kitchen, and bathrooms. The design also takes into account the interaction between different spaces, ensuring a seamless flow throughout the house.

The unique feature of this design is its ability to meet the domestic needs of a family without compromising on comfort, despite the limited space. The design maximizes every bit of the 49.5 square meter space, ensuring that the 180 cm tall homeowner can move around easily. The versatile platform area is a significant feature where the lives of family members intersect, fostering family connection and interaction.

The design employs various materials including wood veneer, tile, paint, iron, glass, and spray paint. The gradient colored wall and overall decoration reflect the homeowner's style and color preferences, adding a personal touch to the design. This project was realized in Taipei, Taiwan, between November 2017 and March 2018.

One of the challenges in designing a small space is to avoid reducing sizes in order to save space. However, Huang managed to overcome this challenge by not compromising on any sizes, from the stairs, sofa, kitchen, dining area, to the second floor, beds, and bathtub. This achievement is a testament to Huang's innovative and thoughtful design approach.

The design of "All is Full of Love" is a perfect example of how innovative design can transform a small space into a comfortable and functional home. It is a testament to Ling-Fang Huang's creativity and expertise in interior design, and a deserving winner of the Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2019.
