Yinmachuan by the Great Wall: A Fusion of Tradition and Innovation

Inspired by the dreamy and dramatic ambiance of Kung Fu Panda 3, the design incorporates traditional Chinese elements such as lanterns, bamboo hats, and mantles. The designers have used these elements to represent traditional Chinese culture as seen through the eyes of foreigners. This approach has resulted in a design that is both familiar and exotic, appealing to a wide range of audiences.

The uniqueness of Yinmachuan lies in its dialogue between old and new. This dialogue, embodied in the ancient Eastern culture, showcases the confidence of the Chinese people in their lifestyle and aesthetic appreciation. The modern design language used in the project, including the artful play of peony, blue and white porcelain, traditional embroidery, batik fabrics, and bamboo weaved pendant lamp, demonstrates a deeply embedded, mighty life in the real sense.

Yinmachuan is not just a design; it's a blend of art and technology. The project incorporates Rongjiang handmade Aizen fabrics, natural tree fossil slices, and natural travertines, along with the most advanced direct digital printing technology. The design, spread over an area of 120 sqm, is a testament to the designers' ability to blend tradition and innovation seamlessly.

The design process was not without its challenges. The designers aimed to cater to the taste of the Chinese elite class and the aesthetic appreciation of the world. They sought to transcend cultural differences and explore the fusion point of Western and Eastern culture. This exploration led to the creation of a design that is deeply rooted in Chinese context, yet appealing to a global audience.

Yinmachuan by the Great Wall is a testament to the designers' commitment to returning to the roots and exploring faith. The design was awarded Silver in A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2017, a testament to its outstanding expertise and innovation.
