In the bustling city of Shanghai, a new standard for office design has been set. Huang Quan, a renowned architect, has created a workspace that is not only stylish and elegant but also promotes efficiency and sustainability. The ZH/CIFI Square Modeling Finance Office, a project that redefines the concept of a traditional workplace, has been recognized with a prestigious Golden A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2017.
Quan's design philosophy for this project was 'work in my boutique hotel', a concept that combines trend, dignity, and a humanized experience often associated with boutique hotels. The result is a workplace that exudes style, elegance, and fine design. The office is situated in the Building NO.3 of CIFI Square Shanghai and covers an area of 500 square meters. It is designed to simulate an establishment focusing on innovative finance service.
The unique features of this design lie in its simplicity and the use of materials. Antique copper wiring stainless steel, Shangri-La marble, and Eucalyptus wave-shaped coherent wood finish have been used to create a contemporary yet timeless aesthetic. The office is not just about aesthetics, though. Quan has introduced green plants into the interior to purify the environment and create a healthier workspace for employees.
Quan's design team included Li Wei, Yuan Junlong, Huang Chaohui, Ling Yong, Zhou Chuang, Jiang Yizhong, Lu Shuqiong, Li Xiaoyan, and Chen Mei. Their collective efforts have resulted in a workspace that is entertaining, flexible, and private to some extent, challenging the norms of traditional workplaces.
