Introducing an innovative brochure design for Nissan NOTE by E-graphics communications, a groundbreaking approach that challenges traditional automobile brochure formats and effectively communicates the advanced technology of the Nissan NOTE e-POWER.

The Nissan NOTE brochure is not just an ordinary promotional material. It is a testament to the innovative spirit of Nissan, mirroring the unique features of the Nissan NOTE e-POWER. The brochure was designed to give a strong impact, featuring a full-scale image of the car, despite the standard brochure size of 250mm x 250mm. This was achieved by creatively using cut-out parts that characterize the NOTE e-POWER, nearly as big as the actual size.

The Nissan NOTE e-POWER is a new form of electronic vehicle that generates electric power in the engine, instead of charging externally. This innovative technology allows the car to run solely on the motor, providing the convenience of driving as far as one can without worrying about charging, similar to gasoline-fueled automobiles. The brochure effectively communicates this message, highlighting how the Nissan NOTE is innovative and advanced.

The brochure utilizes one-side foldout pagination, used consecutively three times. As the page showing a part of the vehicle in nearly full scale is turned, the main style of the NOTE e-POWER appears, and stories about its advanced technology are unfolded. The images of the vehicle body and interior are created by 3DCG, perfectly reproducing the beauty and high-quality feeling of the car by effectively using background reflections and glare.

The brochure is a 250-mm square with 58 pages, saddle-stitched. It uses "FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) approved paper", which is made from thinned wood. The design team behind this innovative brochure includes Executive Creative Director Tomohira Kodama, Creative Director Yoshihiro Mimura, Art direction/ Copywriting: LIBERO Creative and 3DCG: EGC D-PT/CG Creative.

In Japan, automobile brochures are considered as an incentive item for potential customers. They must convey both emotional and functional qualities to the potential buyer. This brochure does just that, allowing the new owner to fantasize about driving the car while waiting for it to be delivered. The Nissan NOTE was launched in November 2016 in Japan, with the brochure released at the same time and will be used until the model gets updated.

This innovative approach to brochure design has not gone unnoticed. The Nissan NOTE brochure was awarded the Golden A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award in 2017, a testament to its marvelous, outstanding, and trendsetting creation that reflects the designer's prodigy and wisdom. It is indeed a venerated product and bright idea that advances art, science, design, and technology, embodying extraordinary excellence and significantly impacting the world with its desirable characteristics.
