Space Dreams: A Futuristic Command Center in Jakarta

An Impressive Blend of Technology and Design

Interior design project of the Command center and support facilities in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The inspiration for this project came from a "spaceship concept" that emerged during the preliminary design phase. The designers wanted to imagine how interior design would look like in the future, and this command center is a testament to their vision.

The unique properties of this design are what set it apart from others. The command center is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and facilities, making it a cutting-edge space for meetings, online monitoring, educational purposes, presentations, and internal events. Additionally, the impressive design of the space adds a touch of elegance and sophistication.

The realization of this design involved extensive research and the use of custom-made products. The designers conducted material research to find the best products for their vision. Solid surface materials were used for custom-made furniture, such as desks, while translucent membranes with LED lighting were used for the ceilings. The flooring consists of a combination of marble and vinyl flooring.

The command center spans an area of 400 square meters and has a capacity of up to 25 people. The entire space can accommodate up to 70 people. It features various facilities, including a meeting room, an interpreters room, a bar/relax area, and a server room. The multimedia equipment specifications are impressive, with an LED screen measuring 6400 x 1800 mm, transparent touch displays, audio and video conference systems, interactive tables, and a CCTV system.

This project was not without its challenges. The design of custom-made products, such as the working desks and ceilings, required deep research and innovative solutions. The designers developed a unique bearing system for the desks to accommodate the installation of multimedia equipment. The ceilings, which also serve as the main lighting element, underwent acoustic and lighting calculations to ensure optimal functionality.

The Space Dreams command center was completed in 2016 after months of planning, research, and implementation. It has since become a remarkable example of how technology and design can seamlessly blend together to create a truly extraordinary space.

This design has been recognized for its excellence and creativity, receiving the Bronze A' Design Award in 2017 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious award celebrates designs that showcase resourcefulness, technical skills, and contribute to improving the quality of life.
