Aon: Creating a Modern and Productive Work Environment

Wellbeing environment

Aon, a leading global professional services firm, has recently unveiled its new corporate offices in Mexico City's bustling Paseo de la Reforma. Designed by renowned architect Juan Carlos Baumgartner, the project aims to create a modern and productive work environment that fosters collaboration and enhances the wellbeing of its employees.

Continuing with his innovative approach to corporate design, Baumgartner has focused on creating spaces that promote socializing and casual encounters, which in turn intensify communication and collaborative work. The design team recognized the immediate need for innovative and empathetic solutions that respond to the experiences lived day to day.

One of the unique features of the Aon office is the dedicated zones specially designed for informal work. These hubs connect with support areas, private spaces, and the open work area, which is situated in the part of the building where a glass facade predominates. This design choice ensures constant access to natural light, making workers more productive and efficient, and creating energizing and dynamic environments.

The finishings in the Aon office are carefully selected to complement one another and create a cohesive aesthetic. Marble, carpets, glass, wood, and furniture are combined to emphasize the change of different scenarios. Warm colors predominate throughout the project, while bright tones are strategically used in key points such as walls, columns, and carpets. This chromatic palette unifies the image and reinforces the identity of the company.

The project was realized with the collaboration of various entities. Gia, a renowned contractor, was responsible for bringing the design to life. Haworth, a leading furniture manufacturer, provided the high-quality furniture that enhances the functionality and aesthetics of the space. Lua, a lighting specialist, ensured that the lighting design complements the overall ambiance of the office.

The success of the Aon project lies in its strategic vision, centered on the user and based on evidence. The design team at Space, a leading firm in corporate design in Mexico and Latin America, understood the needs of the organization and converted the space into a competitive tool. The result is an environment of elegance and modernity, where users experience a sense of wellbeing and commitment.

The Aon project, which started in April 2016 and finished in November 2016, is a testament to the commitment of the organization to renew not only its image but its entire way of working. By integrating the philosophy of Space, Aon has created an atmosphere of solidity and seriousness for its clients, while also fostering an environment of modernity and integration for its employees.

This outstanding design has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. The award acknowledges the creativity and ingenuity of the design, which authentically embodies experience and resourcefulness. By incorporating best practices in art, science, design, and technology, the Aon office contributes to the improvement of quality of life and makes the world a better place.
