Explicit Sun: A Sample House Designed by Ching-Hua Yang

Bringing Nature Indoors with Innovative Design

Sunlight, skyview, and reflective light from mirrors create a relaxing and nature-inspired space.

The Explicit Sun, designed by Ching-Hua Yang, is a unique and innovative sample house that seamlessly blends nature with modern design. Inspired by sunlight, sky views, and the reflective light from mirrors, this design allows people to stay indoors while enjoying a close connection to the natural world.

The design features crisp white lines that echo throughout the chamber, creating a sense of harmony and tranquility. One of the standout features of the Explicit Sun is the reception and reading area, which is defined and differentiated by a wall and cabinet. The lattice ceiling, built of timber, adds a touch of leisure and elegance to the space, leaving a lasting impression on visitors.

One of the most remarkable aspects of the Explicit Sun is the interior lighting patio. By cutting a light slit in the building and breaking the closed cement cage, the designer has introduced natural light into the space, creating a unique and inviting atmosphere. This patio not only enhances the aesthetics of the design but also allows people to experience the beauty of natural light from within the comfort of the house.

The design of the Explicit Sun showcases the designer's creativity and attention to detail. The traversing hangs the pumice quantity body in the rear area, creating a multi-purpose tabletop and an arc book wall. The reflection of tree shades and the extension to the balcony bed further enhance the connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces. The design also incorporates elements of light, plants, and wind, all behind a pure geometric line hole.

The Explicit Sun is a testament to the designer's vision and technical expertise. With its unique features and attention to detail, this design offers a truly immersive and inspiring living experience. It is a perfect example of how innovative design can bring nature indoors and create spaces that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

The Explicit Sun was completed in 2016 in Taiwan. The project was located in a demonstration entity housing consisting of 21 buildings. The design aimed to create a space that seamlessly connects the indoor and outdoor environments, providing a sense of openness and tranquility.

This exceptional design has been recognized for its excellence and creativity. The Explicit Sun was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2017. This prestigious award is bestowed upon designs that demonstrate outstanding creativity and resourcefulness, incorporating best practices in art, science, design, and technology. The Explicit Sun's strong technical and creative skills contribute to improving the quality of life, making the world a better place.
