Transforming Ordinary Lamps into Unique Art Pieces: A Display of Local Design Talent

The exhibition is a result of a campaign by Zodiac Lighting Limited that invited local designers to redesign lamps sponsored by VIBIA. The designers were given free rein to express their creativity, resulting in a collection of unique and innovative lighting pieces. Each lamp tells a different story, reflecting the individual style and vision of the designer behind it.

The exhibition was held at the Comix Home Base and was carefully curated to integrate the lighting art pieces with the interior design of the venue. Each lamp was given its own space, complete with unique light effects, allowing visitors to fully appreciate the uniqueness of each piece and understand the concept behind it. The designer's portfolio and a summary of the creation process were also displayed next to each artwork, providing further insight into the designer's thought process.

The exhibition featured the work of numerous local designers, including Jessica Fong, Pal Yu, Anson Chan, Anson Cheng, Anson Ip, and many more. Their collective creativity and talent were on full display, proving that local designers are capable of producing world-class designs.

The "CONNECT, CREATE, COLLABORATE" exhibition was held in September 2016 at the Zodiac Lighting Showroom and in November 2016 at the Comix Home Base, both located in Hong Kong. The exhibition was a resounding success, earning the Silver A' Event and Happening Design Award in 2017. This prestigious award is given to designs that demonstrate outstanding expertise and innovation, and it is a testament to the quality and creativity of the exhibition.
