Tremend's Innovative Approach to Hotel Renovation

The Novotel Wroclaw Centrum, an important element of the city's 1960s landscape, has been given a new lease of life. The renovation has revealed the raw construction and installation of the original building, creating a modern yet honest design that serves as a backdrop to technology and the modern era.

Tremend's lead designers, Magdalena Federowicz-Boule and Piotr Kalinowski, have not only catered to the needs of modern hospitality clients but have also set a standard for the Novotel brand in Central Europe. The renovation of the hotel's common areas, covering 800 square meters, has been a challenge, but one that Tremend has successfully overcome.

The main inspiration for the design was the raw construction of the building itself. Simple and natural materials were introduced to contrast the coziness of the fabrics and space with the raw installation and construction of the old building. The areas blend seamlessly with each other, separated only by light, fabric mobile dividers that can be adjusted according to the time cycle.

The renovation process was not without its challenges. Cost control and technical surprises from the existing facilities posed significant hurdles. However, through careful author supervision and close cooperation with the investor, Tremend was able to create a design that matched the original concept as closely as possible.

The result is a testament to Tremend's innovative approach to design. The Novotel Wroclaw Centrum is a shining example of how the hospitality experience is evolving, and a testament to the design team's ability to create spaces that are not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing. This project has been recognized with a Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2017, a testament to its outstanding expertise and innovation.
