Ruetraa: A Space for Enjoying Music and Drink

A Unique Design Inspired by Chinese Tea Culture

Ruetraa stands out with its innovative design that seamlessly blends the form of a tree with artistic chandeliers, creating a natural and ecological concept of returning to one's original simplicity. The designers have extended the logo of Cantonese tea, incorporating a black-gold color scheme and concise lines to evoke a sense of harmony and visual relaxation for customers.

The spatial division within Ruetraa is guided by the height proportion of furniture, resulting in a functional layout that complements the overall design. The combination of a high bar counter, booth, recliner, and outdoor furniture creates a layered space that enhances the sensory experience for visitors. Metal tubes on the wall echo with those on the bar counter, integrating the different functional areas and creating a cohesive atmosphere.

The furniture in Ruetraa follows a simple and graceful style, with colors that echo the black and gold theme. By stacking furniture of different types, the designers have created a subjective color scheme that adds depth and visual interest to the space. The French window at the entrance serves as both a facade and a functional booth, allowing for a seamless transition between the indoor and outdoor areas.

In addition to its unique design, Ruetraa offers a dynamic music experience. Visitors can enjoy different styles of music, from pop to rock and jazz, performed by talented bar bands. This combination of music and ambiance creates a truly immersive experience for guests.

The Ruetraa project started in May 2017 in FoShan and was completed in September 2017 in GuangZhou. The design was exhibited in Ruetraa in September 2017, showcasing its innovative approach to creating a space for relaxation and enjoyment.

Ruetraa faced several challenges during its creation, particularly in the structural mechanics of the tree modeling and the connection between the tree structure and the chandelier. However, the designers overcame these obstacles to bring their vision to life.

When customers step into Ruetraa, they are greeted by a black-gold tree model that exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere. Unlike typical industrial-style decorations, the tree model provides a soft and comforting ambiance, reminiscent of sitting under a tree on a sunny day. The orderly matrix of lines used throughout the shop's facade, wall decorations, and bar counter adds a touch of sophistication to the overall design.

Ruetraa's unique design and innovative approach have been recognized with the Iron A' Design Award in 2018. This prestigious award is given to well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. Ruetraa's integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics contribute to a better world, providing fulfillment and positive feelings to its visitors.
