C House: A Minimalist and Serene Residential Design

Achieving Spatial Stability and Tranquility

Studio. Ho Design presents C House, a residential design that embodies minimalism and tranquility. With a focus on spatial stability and tranquility, this design offers a unique and serene living experience.

The integration of both dark and light-colored woods in the integral space provides a sense of spatial stability. The flooring, coordinated with light-colored stone, adds a touch of elegance. The black-and-white French drapes add a hint of trendiness to the space and set off the tremendous flair of the main furniture - the grey sofa.

Natural light is a key element in this design. During the day, the refined space is filled with an abundance of natural light, creating a bright and airy atmosphere. As dusk approaches, linear light bars brighten up, extending the visual sense of the dark TV wall. The rich interiority of home is further enhanced by the pendant lamp above the dining table and the subdued light from the floor lamp.

The design of C House utilizes old furniture, wood, and light-colored stone to create a harmonious and inviting space. With a total area of 105 square meters, this residential design offers a spacious and comfortable living environment.

The retired couple who reside in C House are able to share the joy of life together while keeping their own private spaces. The open bookcase not only allows easy access to the husband's collection but also deepens the cultural atmosphere of the space. The cooking area, cozy and bright, provides the perfect setting for the wife to interact with her husband while preparing meals. The rich functionality hidden among the designs offers convenience and simplicity for the residents.

Located in Taipei City, Taiwan, the C House project was completed by Studio. Ho Design. The design team, consisting of Liang-Yi Liao and Chun-Yi Ho, overcame various challenges to create a space that preserves the homeowner's memory and fondness for his former abode while incorporating easy maintenance and storage.

C House has received recognition for its exceptional design. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2018 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious award is given to well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. C House stands out for its integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, providing fulfillment and positive feelings to its residents.
