Juliana Pippi's Award-Winning Interior Design: Light Pink and Coal Living

A Harmonious Blend of Feminine Sensitivity and Cosmopolitan Strength

In the realm of interior design, Juliana Pippi's "Light Pink and Coal Living" stands as a testament to the power of color, texture, and space. This award-winning design, which integrates hall, living room, dining room, bar, and washbasin into a 110 m2 area, is an embodiment of feminine sensitivity and cosmopolitan strength.

The design draws its inspiration from the feminine and cosmopolitan universe, creating a space that is both enjoyable and artistic. The brightness of light pink, bare and white shades contrast powerfully with the black and graphite tones, creating a visually striking environment. The space is further enhanced by the works of designers, artists, and sculptors, adding soul and depth to the room.

What sets this design apart are the unique elements such as the natural wood flooring in American oak, the exclusive finishing touches, and the unprecedented wallpaper in Brazil. The furniture, placed randomly, harmonizes with the tapestry and artworks, creating a contemporary and artistic atmosphere. The design also features rare pieces and old medals from an antique dealer, adding a touch of history and uniqueness to the space.

The realization of this design began with the creation of a ripped ceiling. Natural slats of wood teca were used with a black background to provide depth. The lighting mimics the designs within the structure, with the Flamingo Pendant from Ouse Illumination drawing attention over the dining table. The design also features a wood flooring made from natural American Oak, with a matte varnish layer for strength and to maintain the natural characteristic of the material.

The project was developed between May and June of 2017 and presented in August and September of the same year. The exhibition was open to the public between September and the beginning of November 2017. The design faced challenges such as the structure of the wooden lining ceiling on the old roof and the construction of the marble-walled washroom with whole slabs over 3 meters high.

The design was awarded the Golden A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2018, a testament to its marvelous, outstanding, and trendsetting creation. The award recognizes products and ideas that advance art, science, design, and technology, embodying extraordinary excellence and significantly impacting the world with their desirable characteristics.
