An Elegant and Delicate Interior Design by Tsan-Hen Li

Following in the footsteps of master architect T.D. Lee, Tsan-Hen Li and his team have meticulously recreated the luxurious ambiance of high-end restaurants through the use of Japanese-style grilles. These intricate details bring a sense of refinement and elegance to the space. Additionally, the dangling lights add a contemporary flair to the traditional design, creating a harmonious blend of old and new.

The large living room is adorned with simple lines on the ceiling, creating a composed visual effect. Recessed illuminations on the ceiling and walls, along with a large ceiling window, invigorate the space and fill it with natural light. The result is a living room that feels spacious, bright, and welcoming.

Spanning an impressive 428 square meters, this interior design project showcases the designer's attention to detail and commitment to creating intimate spaces for family members. The main bedroom, inspired by the rooms at the AMAN Hotel, features a delicate entranceway, a spacious dressing room, a comfortable bed, and a cozy reading area. The use of wood materials throughout the room fosters a sense of warmth and tranquility. The screen window, with its plain color, ensures privacy while allowing soft daylight to filter through. The glamorous faux finishing, imported from Italy, adds a touch of sophistication and elegance to the space.

The project, completed in 2017 in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, presented its fair share of challenges. The client's desire to recreate the ambiance of the AMAN Hotel within their residence required the design team to think creatively and strategically. Despite the limited indoor space of 130 square footage, the team successfully transformed the client's vision into an elegant and delicate living environment, reminiscent of luxurious hotels.

Throughout the design, the living and bedroom areas offer stunning views of the surrounding greenery, creating a seamless connection with nature. The abundance of natural light in the indoor spaces contributes to a warm and comfortable residential atmosphere. The use of ironworks and furniture plated with titanium and iron adds a touch of dignity and sophistication. Cleverly reserved corners for the foyer and dressing area effectively utilize the living space, while the corridor serves as an intimate space for family communication.

This exceptional interior design project, captured by Ar-Her Kuo, has been recognized for its excellence. It was awarded the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2018 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This award acknowledges designs that are well-designed, practical, and innovative, meeting professional and industrial requirements. The design's integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics contributes to a better world, providing fulfillment and positive feelings.
