Mingbin Yang's Award-Winning Design Alters Perspectives

Mingbin Yang's inspiration for the TEMGOO SHOWROOM came from the desire to change the client's perspective. The space is designed to be experienced instantaneously, with the shifting lines and semicircular segmentation connecting the boundaries of each section. As visitors move through the space, they are treated to varying perspectives and changing views, creating an immersive and engaging experience.

The TEMGOO SHOWROOM is not just a space for displaying ceramics, but also a site for users to easily match materials. This dual functionality sets it apart from other exhibition spaces and adds an extra layer of interaction and engagement for the visitors. The space is designed to be a part of the visitor's experience, with the impression that the body is already part of the soul of the space, and that the space is being sculpted by the visitor.

The design of the TEMGOO SHOWROOM was realized using paint, wood, and special glass. The space measures 281sqm, with dimensions of 16500mm x 17000mm x 3200mm. Despite the challenges of a limited budget and the need for space poetic communication, Mingbin Yang and the HONIDEA team were able to create a unique and innovative design that has been recognized with a prestigious award.

The TEMGOO SHOWROOM was awarded Silver in A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2018. The Silver A' Design Award is given to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that illustrate outstanding expertise and innovation. These designs, admired for their strong technical characteristics and splendid artistic skill, showcase a remarkable level of excellence and introduce positive feelings, amazement, and wonder.
