Separable: A Multifunctional Cooker

Traditional electric rice cookers waste energy as the heating part remains idle once the rice is cooked. However, Separable breaks this pattern. The bottom of the heating zone can be detached and used as an induction cooker, allowing users to prepare other dishes while the rice stays warm. This multifunctional feature enhances resource utilization and provides a convenient solution for those who crave versatility in their cooking appliances.

The outer wall of Separable is made of thermal insulation material, ensuring that the rice stays warm even when the chassis is separated. This thoughtful design element adds an extra layer of convenience, allowing users to enjoy perfectly cooked rice at any time. The metal bottom of the cooker is made from a high thermal conductivity material, maximizing heat utilization and efficiency.

With dimensions of 320mm x 330mm x 260mm, Separable offers a compact and practical solution for modern kitchens. Its sleek design and multifunctionality make it a must-have for those who value efficiency and innovation in their culinary endeavors.

Designed by Jiankun Sun in collaboration with Kairui Wan and Yi Zhou, Separable is a result of four months of dedicated work. The project commenced in May 2017 and concluded in September 2017 in China, where the team overcame various creative, technical, and research challenges to bring this groundbreaking design to life.

Recognized for its ingenuity and practicality, Separable was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware, and Cookware Design category in 2018. This prestigious accolade is a testament to the cooker's well-designed, practical, and innovative nature, meeting professional and industrial requirements. With its integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, Separable contributes to a better world by providing fulfillment and positive experiences in the kitchen.
