Genesis Design Transforms Chinese Birdcage Artistry into a Unique Architectural Marvel

The Xinting Sales Center, located in the Mayangxi Tourist Resort in Changtai County, Zhangzhou, China, is a symmetrical architectural marvel that embodies the texture of the imperial city. It is a grand structure that pays homage to architectural norms that have stood the test of time. The design team has incorporated the ideal personality of the literati, integrating the serenity of mountains and waters into the project. This allows visitors to enjoy the outdoor scenery while experiencing tranquility and grace indoors.

The uniqueness of this project lies in its extensive use of birdcage elements. From birdcage screens and lanterns to staircases, tables, and chairs, the birdcage motif is ubiquitous. The birdcage-like screen partitions the space, enhancing its natural and penetrating quality. The birdcage-like chairs add an elegant yet interesting touch to the space. The occasional placement of trees and odd stones lends a subtle beauty to the space, reminiscent of shielding birds with tree leaves and curtains.

The project, which spans an area of 925 square meters, began in 2016 and was completed in June 2017. The design team faced the challenge of creating a space that would provide a respite from the hustle and bustle of city life. The solution was to highlight Chinese cultural significance, thereby enabling people to live within a cultural ambiance. The result is a space that not only offers relaxation but also poetic satisfaction.
