PJB Bar is a bar that is dedicated to one musician. It is based on an authentic taste, yet by maximizing modern technology, we were conscious of deriving the potentials of each material.

Doyle Collection, the renowned design team behind PJB Nishiazabu, has created a unique and progressive bar design that pays homage to a talented musician. With a focus on authenticity and the utilization of modern technology, this bar stands out from the rest.

The goal of PJB Nishiazabu was to express the progressiveness of the musician who has fostered massive fundamental skills over the years and is still endeared to people around the world. This design aims to capture the essence of the musician's talent and translate it into a captivating and immersive bar experience.

Utilizing steel and stones as primary materials, PJB Nishiazabu showcases highly sophisticated methods such as consciously utilizing horizontals and verticals and providing fine carvings. The design team also ensured the use of high-quality wood, leather, and fabric, frequently incorporating them in areas where customers can interact with them.

The bar features a canted wall covered with mirrors and randomly placed mirror shelf boards, maximizing the use of the small space. Chandeliers that seem to float in the air and shelf boards for the bar counter create an extraordinary atmosphere. The lighting design adds a touch of mystery and enhances the overall ambiance of the bar.

PJB Nishiazabu operates as a private hideaway, with no signboard to guide patrons. This exclusivity adds to the allure and intrigue of the bar, attracting those in search of a unique and intimate experience.

The project, which started in August 2016 in Tokyo, was completed in December 2017. Throughout the design process, the team focused on striking a delicate balance between the ordinary and the extraordinary, creating an atmosphere that is both familiar and captivating.

PJB Nishiazabu has been recognized for its exceptional design and was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2018 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious award is given to well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements.
