Pitti Bimbo: A Unique Exhibition Booth Design by Irirna Rif

An Atmosphere of Comfort and Creativity for Kids

Pitti Bimbo is an exhibition booth design by Irirna Rif that aims to create a positive and cozy atmosphere for children. With its focus on comfort, creativity, and naturalness, this design stands out from others in its ability to evoke a sense of joy and imagination.

The inspiration behind the Pitti Bimbo design is rooted in the happiness and well-being of children. It takes into account their games, studies, leisure preferences, hobbies, and even their food choices. The design also reflects the love and care that parents have for their children, as well as their desire to create a comfortable and secure environment.

What sets the Pitti Bimbo design apart is its attention to detail and unique features. The space is adorned with fresh flowers, handmade children's toys, and sketches, all of which contribute to a sense of creativity and self-expression. Architectural lighting highlights the presented collections, while the muffled light creates a feeling of everyday comfort and harmony. The negotiation area is cleverly separated from the main exposition, allowing for private discussions.

In terms of construction, the Pitti Bimbo design had to be completed within a tight timeframe of three days. To meet this challenge, the team chose eurolight panels for the partitions, as they are easy to mount and dismantle. Non-woven wallpaper with digital photo printing was used for the wall coating, featuring a decorative molding design that reflects the brand's corporate style. The flooring, made of laminate in a natural wood color, adds to the overall cozy atmosphere. The entrance decor, consisting of hand-made children's toys, adds a playful touch to the design. Lighting, mounted on rails, illuminates the space effectively.

The Pitti Bimbo design incorporates various elements and furniture pieces to enhance the overall experience. These include FaroBarcelona LAO LED track projectors, LaForma poefs and tables, INCLASS round table Flat, LaForma chair ROOXIE, and ClassiCon lamp Selene. These carefully selected pieces contribute to the comfort and aesthetic appeal of the booth.

At the entrance of the booth, visitors are greeted by a reception area with a TV playing videos that showcase the company culture and brand collections. Shelves are strategically placed along the walls, allowing for easy movement throughout the booth. A merchandising plan has been developed to present the clothing collections by age groups, ensuring a qualitative and comprehensive experience for visitors. Signs with age indications further enhance navigation within the booth. The negotiation area, located at the far end of the room, features two tables for four people each, providing a private space for discussions.

The Pitti Bimbo design project started in April 2018 in Novosibirsk and was completed in June 2018. It was exhibited at Pitti Immagine Bimbo in April 2018. Extensive research was conducted to understand the values, mission, and target audience of the brand. The design successfully allowed the customer to present their goods, enter new markets in Europe, gain feedback from customers and competitors worldwide, and establish new sales channels.

Despite the challenges posed by strict exhibition rules and time constraints, the Pitti Bimbo design overcame these obstacles with innovative solutions. The language barrier was also overcome through effective translation and negotiation with the Italian-speaking exhibition operator.

The Pitti Bimbo design, with its focus on creating a welcoming and imaginative space for children, has received recognition for its excellence. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2019 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This award recognizes designs that are well-designed, practical, and innovative, meeting professional and industrial requirements.

With its unique approach to creating a comfortable and creative environment for children, the Pitti Bimbo design by Irirna Rif showcases the power of design in enhancing lifestyle experiences.
