Clarity: A Minimalistic Sitting Bench

Fusion of Contrasts and Geometrical Game

The Clarity bench stands out with its unique properties and design elements. The rigid form of the massive black, light-absorbing prismatic shape is supported by a curved, highly reflective stainless steel leg. This fusion of contrasting materials creates a visually striking piece that adds a touch of luxury and modernity to any interior space.

The bench is designed for comfort and durability. The base is made of 18-20 mm MDF, padded with synthetic wool, ensuring a soft and cozy seating experience. The three separate seats feature MDF frames filled with high-density foam, providing both support and comfort. The upper edges of the seats are finished with 2 mm steel rope keder, adding a sleek and refined touch. The entire bench is upholstered with eco-leather, further enhancing its luxurious appeal.

Predrag Radojcic utilized advanced technology in the realization of the Clarity bench. The supporting leg is made of highly polished stainless steel, curved using a rolling press for precision. The dimensions of the bench are 1200 mm x 350 mm x 450 mm, making it suitable for various interior spaces.

Creating the Clarity bench presented both creative and technical challenges. The creative challenge was to find the right balance of masses in such a simplified geometry, while the technical challenge involved bending the thick stainless steel precisely around a roller. Overcoming these challenges resulted in a design that seamlessly combines form and function.

The Clarity bench is a testament to the designer's attention to detail and commitment to creating a piece that is not only visually appealing but also functional. Its minimalistic design and fusion of contrasting materials make it a standout addition to any interior space.
