Clear Sky: A Stunning Interior Design by Zeng Jyun Shen

Expanding Space and Enhancing Comfort

Make space bigger and more comfortable. Black and white can be the basis of everything, and gold can improve the overall texture.

Zeng Jyun Shen, the talented designer behind Kensing Interior Design, has created a remarkable interior design called Clear Sky. This design aims to make the space feel larger and more comfortable, using a combination of black and white as the foundation and adding touches of gold to enhance the overall texture.

Clear Sky is a 70 square meter space, which falls into the category of small spaces. However, Zeng Jyun Shen has employed various design ideas to expand the perceived size of the space. For example, the entrance extends to the TV wall of the room, creating a visual illusion of increased width. The use of a transparent studio in the living room adds depth to the space, while the extension of the headboard and ceiling lines gives the impression of an extended area.

The color scheme of Clear Sky revolves around black, gray, and white, with a small amount of golden yellow to enhance the sense of nobility. This combination of colors creates a sophisticated and elegant atmosphere. The materials used in the design include wooden flooring, tiles, paint, iron pieces, glass, and gold accents. Zeng Jyun Shen has skillfully fused these materials together to achieve a harmonious balance.

Clear Sky was realized using a combination of design techniques and construction expertise. Zeng Jyun Shen took charge of the entire design process, from conceptualization to completion, with the assistance of a strong construction team.

One of the key aspects of Clear Sky is its interaction with guests. Zeng Jyun Shen encourages frequent communication with guests to ensure their needs and preferences are met. The design also incorporates a variety of materials in the same color but with different textures. This creates a visually pleasing experience as each material finds its balance and contributes to the overall aesthetic.

The Clear Sky project was carried out in Taiwan, starting in April 2018 and concluding in October 2018. The design was showcased in an exhibition in Shanghai's Jing'an District.

Zeng Jyun Shen's research for Clear Sky focused on interior design and the fusion of various materials. The goal was to create a design that seamlessly combines different materials without appearing awkward or out of place. The result is a space that maximizes the potential of the existing area and creates an enhanced effect through thoughtful design.

Clear Sky presented several challenges during its creation. Material matching was a crucial aspect, as the design required a careful selection of materials that would complement each other. Additionally, expanding the size of the space and ensuring a seamless connection between different areas posed technical and creative challenges that Zeng Jyun Shen successfully overcame.

Based on simple and elegant lines, Clear Sky does not rely on excessive furnishings. Instead, it embraces a minimalist approach that exudes tranquility and sophistication. Zeng Jyun Shen's design philosophy focuses on creating spaces that are both visually stunning and calming, contributing to an overall sense of well-being.

Clear Sky has received recognition for its exceptional design. In 2019, it was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious award is bestowed upon designs that demonstrate outstanding creativity, resourcefulness, and technical skills. Clear Sky has undoubtedly made a significant contribution to improving the quality of life through its innovative approach to interior design.
