Measuring at 38mm x 12mm x 9mm, the "Heart of Young Grass" earring is a delicate and captivating piece that catches the eye. The creative process behind this design involved extensive research, sketching, CAD drawing, casting, and meticulous stone setting by hand. The materials used include 18k white gold, Tsavorite, diamonds, and a stunning 10mm Akoya pearl (Aurora Hanadama). Each element is carefully chosen to bring the design to life.

Developing a design from an ancient poetry written in the Tang Dynasty presented its challenges. Zhang's research into various forms of grass and her determination to create a three-dimensional representation paid off, resulting in a design that captures the essence of the young grass in an elegant and natural way.

The "Heart of Young Grass" earring project commenced in June 2018 in Toronto and was completed in August 2018. It is a testament to Zhang's dedication and passion for creating meaningful and beautiful jewelry pieces.

This exceptional design has been recognized for its excellence and creativity, receiving the Bronze A' Design Award in the Jewelry, Eyewear, and Watch Design category in 2019. This prestigious award celebrates designs that demonstrate outstanding technical and creative skills, contributing to improvements in quality of life.
