Living spaces are continuously evolving, and each transformation calls for new and exciting furniture solutions. Oleg, a unique creation by Andrea Cingoli, is a response to this need for adaptability. Drawing inspiration from the biological adaptability of microorganisms, Cingoli has designed a piece of furniture that can transform and combine in numerous ways to create new functions and landscapes.

Oleg is simple yet complex, a wooden cubic or spherical container with many legs. Its uniqueness lies in its ability to change its function by changing its position. It can colonize spaces with infinite combinations of modules, transforming into a bedside table, coffee table, clothes hanger, container furniture, sideboard, and much more, depending on the user's imagination.

Constructed from wood, Oleg is designed to be built with panels in medium density or marine plywood, with a laminate finish or smooth or glossy lacquer. The legs are turned and lacquered elements with colored rubber ends to improve support. The product's weight of about 7 kg allows for easy positioning and overlapping, creating different types of furniture and true works of art.

The design project started in July 2018 and was completed in November 2018 in Teramo. The focus of the research was to create a versatile and economical device, appropriate for creating new domestic landscapes taking on shapes and dimensions indicated by the context and the imagination of the final consumer.

Oleg's unique design and functionality have not gone unnoticed. The design was awarded Silver in A' Furniture Design Award in 2021, a prestigious accolade rewarded to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that illustrate outstanding expertise and innovation.
