3 Zirve: A Hotel Complex Inspired by the Majestic Peaks of the CaucusesIntegrating Nature and Architecture in Shamakhi, Azerbaijan
Having researched and surveyed the area, ChiZa Architectural Bureau revealed the panoramic view of the three peaks of the Caucuses (Tufandaq, Babadaq, Bazarduzu). The conception of the design is the integration of this idea into the shape of the hotel, symbolizing three Caucasian peaks. The hotel’s building includes three blocks reflecting three peaks, and the white color on the facade represents the snow on the top of the mountain.
The 3 Zirve Hotel Complex, designed by ChiZa Architectural Bureau, is a stunning architectural masterpiece nestled in the picturesque Shamakhi region of Azerbaijan. Spanning across 18 hectares, the complex features hotel buildings, cottages, a restaurant, a cafe, and a swimming pool, all harmoniously integrated into the natural landscape.
The hotel area covers an impressive 27,000 square meters and consists of five floors housing 205 rooms of different types. The complex also boasts a conference hall with a capacity of 400 people, an exhibition hall, and various spaces for events, spa treatments, and entertainment.
One of the most striking features of the 3 Zirve Hotel Complex is its cascading design, which takes advantage of the hillside location. This unique layout creates multiple levels and terraces that offer breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
To ensure the structural integrity of the complex in the seismic zone, the architects implemented a pile foundation, divided the building into seismic joints, and constructed retaining walls for additional reinforcement.
The 3 Zirve Hotel Complex is not just a place for accommodation; it is a testament to the harmonious coexistence of architecture and nature. The project aims to create a balance between human activity and the environment, providing a tranquil retreat for guests while preserving the natural beauty of the landscape.
Completed in February 2018, the 3 Zirve Hotel Complex stands as a testament to the creativity and ingenuity of ChiZa Architectural Bureau. The design team, led by Chief architect Chingiz Agharzayev, along with architect Zeki Jabiyev, interior designer Fakhriya Heydarzadeh, draftsman Fidan Iskenderli and Guler Amirahova, and visualization artist Elnur Hajialiyev, successfully overcame the challenges of integrating the complex into the landscape and creating a multi-level structure with panoramic terraces.
This exceptional design has been recognized for its excellence and innovation. In 2019, the 3 Zirve Hotel Complex was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building, and Structure Design category. This prestigious accolade celebrates designs that showcase outstanding creativity, technical skills, and a commitment to improving the quality of life through art, science, design, and technology.
