Wyndham Grand Foshan China: A Harmonious Blend of Nature and Luxury

DDA Int'L Hotel Limited's Award-Winning Design Inspired by Local Culture and Natural Elements

The design's unique properties lie in its extension of river elements in different forms, such as water and fish, to create a harmonious sense of nature. The hotel's interior features a high wave structure, fish scale ceiling and chandelier, waterfall shaped wall design, and spray texture carpet, all contributing to the space's natural vigor. Additionally, the typical lotus culture of Canal Town in China is incorporated through the lotus leaf lamp and light reflection on the ceiling.

The realization of this design was a technical feat. The waterfall-like curved wall, designed to cover the steel structure of the high lobby, is made of honeycomb aluminum plate, a lighter material. The unique concept of the lotus-leaf chandelier and reflection ceiling underwent a fine technical process, with each point accurately positioned.

With a total height of 168 meters and an area of nearly 80,000 square meters, the hotel stands as a new landmark in Foshan, China. The design team worked closely with the construction engineering team to ensure the design was executed exactly as envisioned, overcoming technical difficulties and adjusting the scheme according to the client's ideas and architectural details.

The project, which started in December 2010 and finished in October 2018, was based on thorough market research. The design team studied the city's hotels over the last five years, including factors such as type, way of operating, brands, and occupancy rate. The result is a high deluxe hotel that stands out in the market, offering a unique blend of nature, Canal Town culture, power, elegance, and artistic design.

The Wyndham Grand Foshan Gaoming is a bright pearl on the edge of the Xijiang River in South China. Its lobby design, full of vintage feelings, offers a strong visual impact with its flowing water elements, scaly ceilings, and curved walls. This design was recognized with a Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2019, a testament to its outstanding expertise and innovation.
