Revolutionizing Traditional Dining with Yuyue Longmen Hotpot Restaurant

Daohesheji Gaoxiong's Innovative Design Melds Tradition with Modernity

Yuyue Longmen Hotpot Restaurant, a unique blend of traditional Chinese culture and modern design aesthetics, is a testament to the innovative prowess of Daohesheji Gaoxiong. The restaurant, located in Chengdu, China, offers a dining experience that transcends the conventional.

The design inspiration behind Yuyue Longmen Hotpot Restaurant is the dragon, a symbol of grandeur and magnificence in Chinese culture. Daohesheji Gaoxiong has masterfully incorporated this traditional element into a post-modern design, creating a balance between individuality and fashion, magnificence and departure from the conventional pattern. The result is a dining space that exudes classical elegance while offering a unique dining experience.

What sets this design apart is its innovative approach to traditional hot pot restaurant design. Amidst the variety of Chengdu hot pots emerging on the market, Daohesheji Gaoxiong aimed to break away from the conventional mindset and create a decorative design with unique features. The combination of post-modern style and Chinese characteristics offers a different dining experience to customers.

The realization of this design was achieved through the use of glass fiber reinforced plastic with dragon totem in a large area and the dragon-shaped steel structure on the ceiling. This not only lightens up the whole theme but also adds a touch of grandeur to the restaurant. The design also takes into consideration the bigger oil fume of chafing dish, integrating a smoke exhaust circulation system in the chafing dish table to resolve the issue of heavy taste in hot pot shops.

The design project, which was launched in May 2018 and completed in Kaohsiung in July 2018, was exhibited in Fuzhou, Fujian Province, China in December 2018. The design process involved extensive research on traditional Chinese hotpots and the competitive incentives in this market. The goal was to create a design that was different from other traditional hotpot store designs and would instantly appeal to customers.

One of the challenges faced during the design process was how to embody Chinese traditional culture in a modern way. This was overcome by incorporating dragon totem and Chinese red, two significant elements of Chinese culture, into the design. The result is a design that beautifully blends tradition with modernity, offering a unique dining experience to customers.

Yuyue Longmen Hotpot Restaurant's innovative design has earned it the Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2019. This prestigious award is a testament to the restaurant's remarkable design that showcases outstanding expertise and innovation, strong technical characteristics, and splendid artistic skill.
