The 79-square-meter space is adorned with soft colors that create a soothing ambiance. The living room, in particular, stands out with its large windows that allow daylight to filter through the greenery, creating a tranquil atmosphere. The wood blinds in the house allow for the smooth passage of phytoncide, fresh air, and sunlight, further enhancing the connection between the indoor and outdoor environments.
One of the standout features of "Memory of Purple" is the copper wall-mounted shelf that adorns the main wall in the living room. This unique design choice replaces the traditional TV installation, adding a touch of elegance and individuality to the space. The shelf serves as a focal point, displaying souvenirs from the homeowner's travels and symbolizing their journey from the past to the future.
The public area of the house is thoughtfully divided into the living room, dining room, and study room through furniture arrangements. The dining room features an elegant wooden table and chairs, complemented by delicate metal ceiling lamps. The kitchen area is delineated by clear glass, with functional wall closets and iron wall shelves adding a touch of simplicity and functionality to the space.
The combination of wood and metal elements throughout the house adds a stylish and contemporary touch. The crisscrossing wood and metal components of the wall shelves create an intriguing visual appeal, while the exposed track lighting and indoor plants enhance the natural and cozy ambiance of the residence.
"Memory of Purple" was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2019 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious accolade recognizes the designers' outstanding creativity and resourcefulness in creating a space that authentically reflects the homeowner's lifestyle and contributes to an improved quality of life.
Chun-Chih Chang and Jung-Chen Hsieh have successfully transformed "Memory of Purple" into a unique and elegant Nordic-style residence. Their attention to detail, use of natural elements, and incorporation of personal touches make this design a true reflection of modern living.
