Jane Ao's design inspiration for Immaterial Fins came from the invisible but ever-changing nature of water. This essence is reflected in every corner of the space, from the curved staircase reminiscent of flowing water to the irregularly shaped seating arrangements. The design is not only aesthetically pleasing but also provides a comfortable and engaging environment for dining, resting, chatting, and entertainment.

The uniqueness of Immaterial Fins lies in its youthful and personal appeal. The artistic shape of the curved surfaces placed in the room is soft and flexible, offering the utmost comfort. The design is realized using a steel structure and glass, with elements of water scattered throughout the space. The result is a simple, elegant, and dynamic environment.

The design spans two floors, covering an area of 450 square meters. The second floor houses a western restaurant and bar, featuring a bold and mysterious color design complemented by dim, warm lighting. The third floor presents a simple, bright, and personalized look, creating a stylish atmosphere.

The project was initiated in June 2018 in Shaanxi and completed in November of the same year. The design process involved overcoming creative challenges, such as incorporating the elements of water into the space. The result is a dining space that is not only visually appealing but also functional and comfortable.

Immaterial Fins is a testament to Jane Ao's innovative approach to interior design. It is a space where one can enjoy time alone or engage in conversations with friends.
