Located in Hangzhou, China, the Dothink Jiuxi Elegant Mansion is a sales centre that beautifully integrates the aesthetics of the Song Dynasty with the picturesque landscapes of the West Lake. Designed by G F D, this project embodies tranquillity and elegance, offering a unique lifestyle experience.
The design of the Dothink Jiuxi Elegant Mansion is inspired by the natural elegance of mountains and rivers. The project's name is derived from the Jiuxi Scenic Spot, a location renowned for its fantastic natural landscape and cultural relics. The design of the mansion aims to present a poetic lifestyle, blending the beauty of nature with contemporary context.
The unique features of the design lie in its minimalist style and tranquil environment. The courtyard, with its mirror-like pool, tree, and rock-shaped sculpture, presents a view similar to the West Lake. The life experience club, dominated by light gray color and embellished with white and gold elements, generates a calm and restrained atmosphere. The clear layering and grain in the space are highlights of the overall spatial design.
The realization of the design was achieved through various technologies. The pool, constructed with black granite tiles, adds peacefulness to the space and reflects the landscape surrounding it. Four screens with ink and wash painting form a cuboid structure that hangs from the ceiling, improving the artistic quality of the space and showcasing the beauty of "blanking leaving" in Chinese paintings.
The Dothink Jiuxi Elegant Mansion is not just a sales centre, but also a property owners' club. The underground floor consists of multiple functional spaces, including a reception room, gym, private dining space, and chess card room. The design of the indoor heated swimming pool draws inspiration from the dome of the Cathedral of Brasilia, producing mysterious and visually pleasing lights and shadows.
The project was completed in October 2018 and is located in the Zhuantang Subdistrict, Xihu District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, China. It was awarded the Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2019, a testament to its outstanding expertise and innovation.
