First Sight: A Unique and Delicate Interior Design

Creating a Cool and Calm Space with Tong-Yi Hu

Even simple details must be rendered to be the best. Tong-Yi Hu's First Sight interior design showcases a unique cool, calm, and quiet style. With a focus on clear fair-faced plastering and diverse layering, this design creates a space that is both visually appealing and emotionally soothing. The combination of clear glass and solid wood adds a touch of warmth, balancing the temperature and sensual stimulus of the home.

The standout feature of First Sight is the manner in which embossed layers are stacked, turning the wall surface into a cool and visually captivating element. This design prompts people to carefully experience the beautiful craftsmanship and appreciate the fine and smooth coating that renders the entire wall surface light and delicate.

The realization of this design is made possible through the use of special paint for fair-faced plastering, titanium plated with rose gold, super wear-resistant wooden flooring, natural veneer dye, special iron, imported tiles, clear glass, and magnetic board. These materials come together to create a space that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional.

Measuring at 10560 mm x 10520 mm x 280 mm, First Sight is a testament to Tong-Yi Hu's attention to detail and commitment to creating a refined and delicate sense of quality. The complex ceiling design adds an elegant and uncomplicated sentiment to the overall space, making it feel like a wonderful home.

The project, which started in April 2018 and finished in August 2018 in Taiwan, required extensive research and creative problem-solving. The fair-faced plastering coating, expertly applied by a professional interior decorator, transforms thick materials into lightweight ones, achieving a visually dynamic effect and creating a non-artificial texture and quality.

First Sight's design challenges were overcome by incorporating indirect light from the ceiling, providing a visually unobstructed and short walkway space. The primary tones of wood, white, and grey create a comfortable and warm atmosphere throughout the entire space.

When asked about the inspiration behind First Sight, Tong-Yi Hu explained that the design aims to provide a brand-new vitality and a unique character to the space. The paint of the fair-faced plastering, with its different techniques and layered profiles, adds richness and dynamism to the entire home. Returning to this space will evoke a feeling similar to that of a first-time lover.

First Sight by Tong-Yi Hu has been recognized for its excellence and innovation. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2019 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious award is given to designs that meet professional and industrial requirements, integrating industry best practices and competent technical characteristics. First Sight is a true testament to the talent and vision of Tong-Yi Hu.
