The wire sculpture, resembling dandelion petals, gracefully spins and interacts with a cascade of crystal lights, creating a metaphorical representation of harmony and fragility. The realization of this design required meticulous attention to detail and the sourcing of the finest materials. The sound sculpture, crafted from a stainless steel web, seamlessly blends with the crystal light bulbs, evoking a sense of effortless beauty and elegance.

Throughout the design process, the team carefully considered the existing elements of the hotel's interior, such as the geometrical marble tiling and the ground floor staircase. The InterContinental Sofia project commenced in October 2018 and remains open to the public today. Along the way, the design team faced several challenges, including the creation of the glass facade windows, which were designed to change color throughout the day. Additionally, sourcing the perfect piece of marble for the reception area proved to be a demanding task. However, through their unwavering dedication and attention to detail, the team overcame these obstacles, resulting in a design that seamlessly blends art, history, and innovation.

The InterContinental Sofia design has garnered international recognition, receiving the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in 2019. This accolade is a testament to the design's outstanding creativity and ingenuity, as well as its contribution to improving the quality of life through the integration of art, science, design, and technology.
