Mount Pavilia: A Luxurious and Serene Residence

Award-winning interior design by Maggy Cheung

Located in a green low-density residential area, Mount Pavilia stands as a testament to exquisite interior design. With its unique blend of contrasting colors, luxurious materials, and serene outdoor spaces, this residence offers a truly exceptional living experience.

Maggy Cheung, the renowned designer behind this project, drew inspiration from the rooftop area's independent gardening. The complete decorations and facilities, including wood floors, illuminations, water, and electricity, symbolize the essence of family life. The outdoor public space and garden, designed in a plain and natural style, create an elegant and serene atmosphere.

What sets Mount Pavilia apart from other designs is its careful selection of contrasting colors. The main color coordination features bright colors that balance visual simplicity with a touch of vibrancy. The use of luxury and metal materials further enhances the overall aesthetic, creating a sense of modernity and abundance.

Technological innovation played a crucial role in the realization of this design. In the dining area, high contrasting colors are used to highlight the space and distinguish it from the living area. A large lamp with a metal finish serves as a focal point, adding a touch of sophistication. The wall, painted in an attractive and contrasting blue color, is adorned with a large mirror that visually expands the space.

With a net size of 1,482 sq.ft., Mount Pavilia offers a cozy and comfortable living environment. The design team, led by Maggy Cheung, carefully considered the client's request for a space that accommodates gatherings with friends. The inclusion of a corian bar cabinet and a marble dining table adds a touch of luxury, while the separate dining area features a central round wooden table illuminated by a striking metal lamp.

In the living area, the designer focused on a decoration cabinet with glass materials, allowing for the display of various furnishings and decorations. This functional and stylish feature adds to the overall charm of the duplex.

The project was completed in December 2018 in Hong Kong, and throughout the design process, environmental considerations were of utmost importance. Low VOC paints and adhesives were used to reduce indoor air pollution, while professional-grade air purification systems ensured a clean and allergen-free environment. Water purification systems were also installed, including filters that reduced chlorine products. Additionally, automated circadian lighting was implemented in the bedroom, promoting a healthy sleep cycle.

One of the key challenges faced by the design team was achieving a seamless separation between open and private spaces. The master bedroom door, cleverly integrated into the living area's feature wall, creates a visual illusion of continuity while maintaining the necessary privacy. This spatial differentiation was crucial to ensure a harmonious flow throughout the residence.

Mount Pavilia is a testament to the designer's meticulous attention to detail and commitment to creating a luxurious and serene living space. With its unique blend of contrasting colors, luxurious materials, and innovative design elements, this residence truly stands out.
