Anoor: Celebrating Urban Women with Innovative Ice Cream Packaging

A Cube of Flavors and Emotions

Recent research shows that this type of ice cream is mainly targeted at young, highly educated women, frequent travelers, experimenting with new places and products. The main idea was to celebrate the diversity of urban, cosmopolitan women and link it to positive emotional states and flavors. The results of the research were translated into a cube-shaped packaging. This design contrasts with most ice cream packages and has the potential to stand out from the competition.

Anoor, a unique ice cream mousse brand, has caught the attention of ice cream enthusiasts with its innovative packaging design. Created by renowned designer Ion Avram, the Anoor ice cream packaging breaks away from traditional norms and offers a fresh and captivating experience for consumers.

The strength of the Anoor packaging lies in its simplicity and its ability to evoke emotions. Made from food-friendly double-coated cardboard, the cube-shaped box is not only visually appealing but also environmentally friendly. By using cardboard instead of plastic, the brand showcases its commitment to sustainability and inspires trust among consumers.

The minimalist design of the packaging brings a human touch to the product. Each box features illustrations of faces, representing different emotional states. The flavors are creatively linked to these emotions, with peanuts representing dreaminess, chocolate representing happiness, and raspberries representing a playful and childish nature.

The pastel colors used in the packaging further enhance the freshness and coolness of the product. Inspired by the colors of the ingredients, the soft hues create a visually pleasing experience for consumers. The cube shape of the box not only adds a unique touch but also links the ice cream to an ice cube, reinforcing the idea of a cool and refreshing treat.

One of the key challenges in designing the Anoor packaging was finding the right type of cardboard that could withstand freezing temperatures. The designer overcame this challenge by using a double-coated cardboard that is suitable for storing the ice cream at -40 degrees Celsius.

The Anoor packaging has not only captured the attention of ice cream lovers but has also garnered recognition in the design industry. In 2019, it was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category. This prestigious award recognizes designs that exhibit outstanding creativity and ingenuity, contributing to quality of life improvements.

The Anoor ice cream packaging is more than just a container for frozen treats. It is a celebration of urban women, their diversity, and their emotional states. With its innovative design and commitment to sustainability, Anoor is setting a new standard in the world of ice cream packaging.
