Inspired by the traditional cattle heads with their pointed horns, Mateus Matos Montenegro, the renowned designer, has transformed this iconic design into a modern, rustic wireframe vector shape. This design interacts with another traditional element, the longneck beer bottle, resulting in a positive and negative, succinct and elegant union.

Meat n Beer is not just your ordinary store; it is a reference point for the sale of specialty meats and beers. From internationally famous brands to national reference beers, and meats with Kobe Beef from waygu, this store offers a unique and curated selection. The logo of Meat n Beer is a testament to the brand's commitment to excellence and innovation.

The logo of Meat n Beer is a fusion of the two flagship products - meat and beer. It cleverly combines the traditional cattle head with its pointed horns and the iconic longneck beer bottle. The negative space is utilized ingeniously to create a single symbol where text and image form a cohesive unit. The use of straight lines in the design adds strength and sturdiness, while the artisan-shaped style adds a touch of authenticity.

The realization of this design involved the production of various pieces, including kraft paper bags, corten steel facade plates, growler bottles, silk screen printed cups, thermal bags, business cards, wrapping paper, and a wooden box with the logo laser-cut for special gifts. Each piece was meticulously crafted to reflect the brand's identity and create a cohesive visual experience.

The packaging and paper bags were designed in various shapes to accommodate different types and sizes of products, ensuring a seamless and efficient shopping experience for customers.

The design of Meat n Beer was not limited to just the logo; it was integrated into the overall architecture and branding of the store. This integration ensures a harmonious and immersive experience for customers, where every element of the store reflects the brand's identity and values.

The journey of Meat n Beer began in July 2016 and culminated in the opening of the second store in December 2018. Throughout this period, extensive research was conducted, involving a group of consumers and friends of the owners. Their valuable insights and feedback helped shape the brand and ensure its resonance with the target audience.

The design of Meat n Beer presented two main challenges - using familiar forms in a unique and innovative way and incorporating elegance and authenticity. Mateus Matos Montenegro successfully overcame these challenges, creating a design that is both visually striking and conceptually meaningful.

The typography used in the logo adds another layer of depth to the design. It combines an old-style industrial font with a more modern script, striking a perfect balance between tradition and modernity.

This exceptional design has been recognized and awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Graphics, Illustration, and Visual Communication Design category in 2020. This prestigious award is bestowed upon designs that demonstrate outstanding creativity, resourcefulness, and technical prowess. The Meat n Beer logo exemplifies these qualities and contributes to the improvement of the quality of life, making the world a better place.
