No Boundary: A Versatile and Boundary-Breaking Residential Apartment

Breaking Spatial Borders with Innovative Design

The No Boundary residential apartment, designed by Hsin-Yuan Lee, is a stunning example of modern and innovative design. With its unique approach to spatial layout and boundary-breaking design elements, this apartment offers a versatile and functional living space that is sure to impress.

This residential planning emphasizes the versatile penetration of the spatial layout, using axis partitioning to create distinct areas within the apartment. The front end of the entrance is dedicated to the public space, with an open-style arrangement that eliminates solid wall partitioning. This creates a seamless flow between spaces, breaking down spatial borders and allowing for a harmonious integration of space and function.

The widthwise indoor public area consists of the living room, dining room, and bar kitchen area. Each space is defined by modern contours, creating three distinct areas that are independent yet interconnected. Light grids are used to separate the temporary and indoor spaces, creating a sense of depth and dimension.

The combination of white storage cabinets and mirrors extends from the foyer into the living room, creating a cohesive design language throughout the space. A retracted white marble television wall separates the living room from the dining area, maintaining a sense of privacy while still allowing for an open and connected feel.

The No Boundary apartment spans 100 square meters and is located in Taichung City, Taiwan. It was completed on February 23, 2019, and showcases the designer's meticulous attention to detail and commitment to creating a functional and aesthetically pleasing living space.

One of the design's unique features is the use of widthwise extended black glass lines on the ceiling, which correspond to the white color scheme and reinforce the lines of the different axis. This creates a visually striking contrast and adds depth to the overall design.

The dining room is separated from the living room and kitchen area by a solid wood long table, creating a sense of relativity while maintaining a spacious circulation. The L-shaped kitchen counter bar, made of white artificial stone and black mirror, adds a modern touch to the space.

In the private space at the rear end of the apartment, the master bedroom features a cocoa-colored padded headboard and dignified wooden tones, creating a sense of elegance and texture variation. The secondary bedroom uses lighter-colored wooden textures to introduce a sense of leisure and relaxation.

The No Boundary apartment has received recognition for its exceptional design. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2020. This prestigious award is given to well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. The No Boundary apartment stands out for its integration of industry best practices, competent technical characteristics, and its contribution to a better world through its fulfillment and positive feelings.

The No Boundary residential apartment is a testament to Hsin-Yuan Lee's talent and creativity. With its boundary-breaking design, versatile spatial layout, and attention to detail, this apartment offers a truly unique and exceptional living experience.
