Corner of Tranquility: A Modern Yuppie Style Residential Apartment

Creating a Cozy Harmony through Ingenious Emotional Arrangement

This design project, named "Corner of Tranquility," is a residential apartment created by Yi-Yun Chang. It embraces the modern Yuppie style, utilizing various materials such as grey glass, aluminum pieces, and iron pieces. The design aims to transform the space into a cozy and harmonious environment, where people can interact and create lasting memories.

The unique strength of this design lies in its emotional arrangement. By incorporating elements of happiness and warmth, the apartment becomes a welcoming home. The use of different materials adds visual interest and texture to the space, while the clever layout planning maximizes functionality.

One notable feature of this design is the use of glass materials in many corners, creating extraordinary visual effects. The application of complete and uncut glass showcases the designer's ingenuity and technical expertise. Additionally, the layout includes a study area with glass partitions, allowing for a seamless integration of wires and eliminating visual blockages.

The apartment spans 73 square meters and includes a master bedroom, a storage room, and a study area. In the master bedroom, a specially designed sliding door with an oil painting acts as both a decorative piece and a source of natural light. The wardrobe is strategically placed against a wall without windows, optimizing space utilization.

The project, located in Hsinchu, Taiwan, was completed on March 23, 2018. It showcases the seamless integration of modern design elements and functional living spaces.

Corner of Tranquility was recognized for its excellence and innovation, receiving the Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2020. This prestigious award is given to designs that meet professional and industrial requirements, demonstrating practicality, innovation, and fulfillment.
