With the increasing demand for experiential consumption, restaurants are no longer just about taste; they have become a platform for brand culture and spiritual spaces. Yulai Fang, designed by Yue Jiang, perfectly captures this concept, offering a totally immersive theme park dining experience that easily captures the hearts of young female customers.

This 215-square-meter restaurant project, located in a busy shopping mall in Chongqing, stands out with its unique design and innovative use of materials. The entrance, featuring the brand's signature orange and black color scheme, sets the tone for the whole space, exuding a fashionable and enthusiastic vibe.

The design team, led by Yue Jiang, transformed the space through the creative use of geometric shapes, resulting in a combination of facades that catch the eye. The clever integration of terrazzo material and mirror stainless steel effectively divides the indoor and outdoor areas, creating a visually appealing and well-defined space.

Upon entering Yulai Fang, guests are greeted by a bright and vibrant color scheme, complemented by a combination of rigid and soft materials. The integration of curves and straight lines enhances the sense of space, creating a visually striking and contemporary atmosphere.

The restaurant offers a variety of seating options, including long tables and square tables, catering to different consumer groups. The simple yet refined color palette and attention to detail reflect a delicate lifestyle and avant-garde aesthetic concept, contributing to a lively and inviting atmosphere.

Yulai Fang covers a total of 215 square meters, showcasing its own personality through the fusion of fashion and art. The semi-open door design allows for the free circulation of light and views, while also providing a simple and prominent expression for the restaurant's facade.

The design team faced several challenges during the project, including the low overhead area. However, they successfully overcame this obstacle by incorporating mirror ceilings, which not only reduce the sense of depression but also create a colorful and dynamic visual effect for customers.

The intersection of point light sources and spherical artistic devices adds depth and dimension to the space. By breaking the monotony of large areas of pure color, the design creates a flexible and interesting environment, setting a lively tone and enhancing the overall ambiance.

Yulai Fang, designed by Yue Jiang and his team, was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2020 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious accolade recognizes the outstanding creativity and resourcefulness of the design, which incorporates best practices in art, science, design, and technology, ultimately contributing to the improvement of quality of life.
