Ttmm-s for Fitbit Versa: A Unique Collection of Clock Faces with Weather Features

Introducing the Ttmm-s App by Albert Salamon

The Ttmm-s for Fitbit Versa app, designed by Albert Salamon, offers a special collection of clock faces equipped with weather features. This innovative app provides Fitbit Versa users with a unique and customizable experience, combining modern design with essential weather information.

The inspiration for the Ttmm-s collection comes from a combination of sci-fi movies, electronic music, and the concept behind Tokyo Flash Japan. Movies such as "The Day After Tomorrow," "Waterworld," and HBO's "Chernobyl" mini-series influenced Salamon's creative process, while the album "Radioactivity" by Kraftwerk provided the musical backdrop. This fusion of influences resulted in a visually striking and technologically advanced clock face collection.

What sets the Ttmm-s app apart is its minimalistic design, making it comfortable to explore and use. The app presents clock faces in three categories: Analog, Digital, and Abstract. Each clock face offers a clear and elegant view, accompanied by instructions on how to read the time, set weather features, and operate the clock face. Users can easily upload their chosen clock faces through the favorite list feature, ensuring quick and convenient access.

Furthermore, the Ttmm-s app offers a monthly subscription plan that provides access to weather information, UV index, and detailed air quality. Users can stay informed about the weather conditions in their area and receive unique weather and air quality alerts. Clock faces equipped with the UV as background feature allow for constant monitoring of UV radiation levels.

All clock faces in the Ttmm-s collection are designed using Adobe Illustrator and Affinity Designer, with additional editing in Adobe Photoshop. The production and presentation files are created in Sketch app, while the programming is done using the Fitbit SDK in Fitbit Studio software.

The Ttmm-s app has a file size of 99.9 MB, with each clock face code ranging from 300 KB to 1 MB. This ensures a seamless user experience without compromising on functionality or design.

The Ttmm-s app can be downloaded on Apple devices with iOS, allowing users to view the clock face designs, read descriptions, start the subscription plan, and upload clock faces. Users can customize their chosen clock faces by setting colors, activating complications, turning on weather views, and enabling weather alerts or chimes. The tap-to-change on-screen feature makes it easy to set complications and personalize the clock faces.

The Ttmm-s app project started in January 2019 and was released in April 2020 in Warsaw, Poland. The programming was done by a team of talented individuals, including Fitbit programmers Piotr Kaminski, Wiktor Hołubowicz, and Gregoire Sage, as well as iOS programmers Rafał Gorczynski and Arkadiusz Banas. The project also received valuable input from UX designer Leszek Juraszczyk and consulting from Marcin Berendt.

Albert Salamon's research for the Ttmm-s app was driven by the need for clear and concise weather information in a modern and visually appealing format. With climate change becoming an increasing concern, the app aims to help users live better and prepare for the future by providing essential weather data and alerts.

The Ttmm-s app faced several challenges during its development. The first challenge was to incorporate weather information into existing graphic designs while maintaining legibility and visual appeal. The second challenge was to design a modern application layout that would accommodate all necessary information about clock face operation and settings, while maintaining a simple and unique interface. Lastly, the app needed to offer an affordable financial model, which led to the introduction of a monthly subscription plan priced at just $0.99.

The Ttmm-s app has received recognition for its outstanding design and user experience. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interface, Interaction, and User Experience Design category in 2020. This prestigious award acknowledges the app's incorporation of best practices in art, science, design, and technology, contributing to improvements in quality of life.

Experience the Ttmm-s for Fitbit Versa app and elevate your smartwatch experience with its unique collection of clock faces and weather features. Stay informed, stay stylish, and stay ahead of the weather with this innovative app by Albert Salamon.
