Saving Green Residence

A Fashionable and Environmentally-Friendly Residential House

More and more people are making contributions and placing more emphasis on the rising awareness of environmental protection during recent years; it is not impossible to actualize environmental protection, as long as you place more effort in life, keep in mind the grace provided by the earth, and you may save tears for the earth even by just bringing along your own dining ware and water bottle.

The Saving Green Residence, designed by Hsin Jien O Yang, is a unique and stylish residential house that combines fashion with environmental consciousness. This project prioritizes green energy and environmental protection, creating a space that is both visually appealing and sustainable. The design focuses on simplicity and rationality, eliminating unnecessary decorations and maximizing the utilization of every inch of space.

One of the standout features of the Saving Green Residence is its spatial planning. The design allows for a symbiosis of light, view, and space, blurring the boundaries between indoor and outdoor areas. By incorporating horizontal and vertical lines, the raised areas seamlessly connect with the various floors, creating a sense of openness and multi-directional views. The utilization of glass elements, such as French windows and glass stair handrails, enhances visual transparency and increases the connection between different spaces.

The Saving Green Residence is not only visually appealing but also environmentally friendly. The use of green construction materials and energy-saving techniques aligns with the core values of environmental protection. By incorporating these elements into the design, the residence serves as a reminder of the importance of sustainable living.

This project was not without its challenges. The connection between the old house and the expansion posed a significant hurdle. However, through innovative design solutions, such as utilizing French windows and flooring, the designers were able to create a seamless transition between the different areas. The courtyard, also featuring French windows, enhances visual transparency and creates a harmonious connection between the indoors and outdoors.

The Saving Green Residence, located in Taipei City, Taiwan, was completed in June 2015 after a year and a half of meticulous work. The project received recognition for its outstanding design and creativity, winning the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2020. This prestigious award is bestowed upon designs that exhibit strong technical and creative skills while contributing to quality of life improvements.

The Saving Green Residence is not only a testament to the designer's talent but also a symbol of the growing importance of sustainable and environmentally conscious design in the modern world.
