Driven by the notion of centrality and direct connection to the community, the AgoraFloreasca UrbanTheory stands out with its unique design features. The heart-shaped map location, which inspired the logo designed by Brandient, is transformed into a spatial design, forming a connecting element from the ground to the top level of the atrium. This design not only creates a visually appealing space but also fosters a sense of unity and community.
The mall is developed over four levels, each dedicated to a different activity. The basement is allocated for active and body rejuvenation, the ground level for food and beverage, the first floor for deli and amusement shopping, and the second floor for pampering and mind rejuvenation. This thoughtful allocation of spaces caters to diverse needs, making the mall a preferred destination for quality lovers.
The project utilizes advanced technology in terms of materials, manufacturing process, CAD, and design methodology. Materials like Corian Dupont, Etalbond, polycarbonate, aluminum, and magnum ceramic tiles by Florim were specified based on their production methodology, international certifications, and sustainability issues. The lighting design was LED to ensure low maintenance cost and energy savings according to IESNA lighting standards.
The AgoraFloreasca UrbanTheory is a result of extensive research on recreation, vacation scapes, spatial design elements, and sustainability methodologies. The aim was to create content and context for an urban experience destination, an establishment for multicultural backgrounds seeking quality standards. The design also incorporates Green Stormwater Infrastructure practices and Future Cities Design Elements, reflecting a commitment to sustainability and future-oriented design.
Despite the challenges of developing a small-scale, central, and intimate real estate in the heart of the urban fabric, the design successfully unifies indoor and outdoor spaces in a community-driven location. The result is a destination that attracts brand believers, offering them a space for body and mind rejuvenating activities.
The AgoraFloreasca UrbanTheory is a testament to the power of innovative design and technology in transforming urban spaces. It has been recognized with the prestigious Golden A' Hospitality, Recreation, Travel and Tourism Design Award in 2020, a testament to its outstanding design and impact on urban lifestyle.
