Yingtao Road Terrace House

A Modern Residence Designed by Ching Ling Ma

Inspired by the concept of pursuing a high quality of life, the designers have carefully planned the functionality of each floor. Elevators, safety lights, and barrier-free spaces have been installed to ensure the comfort and safety of the elderly occupants. The house also features spacious walkways and a friendly circulation, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all family members.

One of the standout features of the Yingtao Road Terrace House is the use of contrasting light and shadow, material vocabulary, and exquisite details. The living space for the parents is built on a foundation of spotless white marble, symbolizing purity and elegance. The second son's living area is characterized by subtle black architectural concrete, reflecting his personality. The third son's minimalist style is brought to life with a pristine gray tone. Each space is carefully designed to reflect the individuality and preferences of its occupants.

The realization of the design is achieved through the use of various materials and technologies. Aluminum framed leather, pink onyx, architectural concrete, security lamps, glass sliding doors, hexagonal mirrors, and candlelight fixtures all contribute to the unique aesthetic of the house.

The Yingtao Road Terrace House spans a total of 413 square meters, with each floor covering 72 square meters. The spatial design reflects the philosophy and lifestyle of the clients. Immaculate marble, rose gold multi-material round tables, and customized candlelight lamps create a warm and inviting atmosphere on the second floor, symbolizing unity and quality time spent together as a family. The house also features a wood-colored storage and display wall for the collection of various teapots, catering to the clients' hobbies and interests. Clear glass and mood lighting add a touch of tranquility and elegance to the overall space.

Throughout the design process, the designers took into consideration the needs of all family members and the possibility of future changes. The house features widened corridors, light fixtures, and an elevator to ensure accessibility for all ages. The public areas are designed as a reception center, providing an open and flexible layout for gatherings with friends and family.

The Yingtao Road Terrace House project started in August 2019 in Yingge District, Taiwan, and was completed in November 2019. The design is a result of extensive research and careful consideration of the clients' needs and preferences. The designers successfully overcame the challenge of maintaining the traditional Taiwanese house style while incorporating modern elements and ensuring the safety and comfort of the occupants.

The Yingtao Road Terrace House, designed by Ching Ling Ma, is a testament to the harmonious integration of functionality and aesthetics. This innovative residential project has been recognized for its excellence and was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2020 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. The award acknowledges the project's well-designed, practical, and innovative features that meet professional and industrial requirements, contributing to a better world.
