Boxabl Casita: Revolutionizing Affordable Housing with Innovative Construction Technology

Building Homes in a Factory, Unpacking Roofs Over People's Heads

There is a global housing crisis, with housing being too expensive and inaccessible for many due to high construction costs. Boxabl, a groundbreaking construction technology, aims to change the way people live by addressing the issues that prevent housing manufacturing in factories.

Boxabl, designed by the renowned team at Boxabl, is a construction technology that builds rooms in a factory, which can be combined on-site to create virtually any type of construction. Unlike traditional factory construction, Boxabl rooms are shipped 8'6" wide and 13'6" tall, and upon arrival, they unpack to an impressive 20' wide with 9'6" ceilings.

What sets Boxabl apart is its complete and efficient design. Each room is shipped 100% complete, with kitchens, bathrooms, utilities, corridors, closets, and even fireplaces already installed. This eliminates the need for additional on-site construction and reduces costs significantly.

Boxabl's construction technology is unlike anything traditional. The walls, floors, and ceilings are made in one piece from steel, concrete, and EPS insulating foam, and pressed together with 1100 kilos of pressure. The result is incredibly strong unitary panels that surpass the strength of weak wooden buildings. These panels are also bug-proof, mold-resistant, and water-resistant, with the highest fireproof rating. Additionally, they exceed all current US codes for wind shear, hurricane, floor, and roof loading, while providing excellent insulation properties, resulting in a zero carbon footprint home and an average monthly utility bill estimated at $28, depending on local energy rates.

Boxabl homes are currently available for sale in sizes of 35 square meters. The production process takes place in Boxabl's state-of-the-art factory in North Las Vegas, where they are built in mass volume at an impressive rate of 2 homes per day. Once completed, the homes are shipped worldwide via pickup truck and can be unpacked without the need for a crane or additional crew.

Boxabl offers a cost-effective solution to the housing crisis, with homes priced at approximately half the cost of traditional homes, while maintaining a higher quality standard. This innovative construction technology has the potential to revolutionize the residential construction industry and create the first national consumer brand home.

The Boxabl project started five years ago and was first showcased as a concept at the International Builders Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, in 2019. It received acclaim as the best of show. Production Boxabl homes were later displayed at the 2020 International Builders Show, once again receiving recognition as the best of show, with approximately 9,000 people visiting the home.

Boxabl's breakthrough technology is protected by 14 mechanical patents, and the brand holds copyrights and trademarks. The design has also been awarded the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2020, recognizing its well-designed, practical, and innovative nature.

With Boxabl, the dream of affordable and accessible housing becomes a reality. This revolutionary construction technology is poised to transform the way we build homes and provide shelter for people around the world.
