An Innovative and Unique Jewelry Design by Larisa Zolotova

Inspired by the captivating allure of space, Larisa Zolotova found her muse while observing a solar eclipse. The dynamic nature of this celestial event, with the Moon orbiting the Earth and the Earth orbiting the Sun, served as the foundation for the creation of this extraordinary pendant. The asymmetrical composition of the jewelry perfectly balances the elements, further enhancing the representation of the eclipse.

What sets the Space Couple Pendant apart from other designs is its unique and removable elements, allowing the wearer to simulate a solar eclipse in two different ways. The pendant's organic and free-form shape adds to its distinctiveness, making it a truly remarkable piece of jewelry.

The realization of this design involved the utilization of advanced technology. Larisa Zolotova employed 3D CAD design within Zbrush to bring her vision to life. The wax model was then printed using a 3D printer and produced through the traditional lost-wax casting process using Pink and White Gold.

With dimensions of 25mm-27mm-7mm and weighing 7g, the Space Couple Pendant is a delicate yet impactful piece of jewelry that effortlessly captures the essence of a solar eclipse.

The interaction with the pendant is designed to mimic the solar eclipse itself. The sun and moon charms can be manipulated to create the eclipse effect. The chain can be threaded through the hole of the solar disk, allowing the moon charm to hang higher. Alternatively, the moon part with the chain can be threaded through the sun pendant and secured as a toggle clasp.

The Space Couple Pendant was created in March 2020 in Saint-Petersburg, Russia. Larisa Zolotova conducted extensive research to ensure the uniqueness of the design. The absence of similar compositions and constructions representing a solar eclipse in the world of jewelry further highlights the innovation and originality of this piece.

Overcoming various creative, technical, and research challenges, Larisa Zolotova successfully achieved a uniform and even form for the sun pendant through meticulous modeling software. The result is a stunning representation of the Sun-Moon interaction, capturing the awe-inspiring beauty of a solar eclipse.
