Mui Dinh South: A Unique Resort Experience in Vietnam

Combining Tradition and Modernity

Mui Dinh South Resort, located in Bai Trang beach, Ninh Thuan Province, Vietnam, offers guests an unparalleled experience while promoting sustainable tourism practices. Designed by the renowned Nda Group, this resort seamlessly blends light tropical architecture, ancient Champa culture, and traditional Vietnamese design with contemporary elements, resulting in a truly unique and captivating destination.

The inspiration for Mui Dinh South Resort came from the breathtaking surroundings of Bai Trang beach. Nestled between two rocky hills, this location boasts panoramic views of the sea, a diverse landscape, and intriguing rock formations. The design team aimed to create a resort that not only provided exceptional service but also respected the environment and celebrated the local culture.

What sets Mui Dinh South Resort apart is its commitment to incorporating the best modern solutions while staying true to its cultural influences. By leveraging the rich Champa culture and traditional Vietnamese architecture, the design team was able to create a contemporary interpretation that captures the essence of the region. The result is a resort that seamlessly blends tradition and modernity, offering guests a truly immersive experience.

The realization of Mui Dinh South Resort involved careful planning and site adaptation. The design team prioritized a realistic and site-adapted plan that minimized the construction impact on the environment. Through a thoughtful zoning strategy, the resort's main building, the hotel, was situated on the flat land in front of the beach, maximizing the stunning sea views. The villas and smaller facilities were strategically placed on the irregular topography, ensuring optimal sea views and convenient access roads.

With a total area of 63.96 hectares and 9 floors, Mui Dinh South Resort offers a generous 249,444 square meters of gross floor area. It features 756 keys, providing a range of accommodation options to cater to different guest preferences. The resort's diverse offerings, including time-share holiday houses, attract a wide range of visitors and investors, contributing to the growth of Vietnam's tourism industry.

One of the key strengths of Mui Dinh South Resort is its commitment to sustainable development. The design incorporates resource reduction strategies, covering consumables, energy use, construction methods, and human resources. By implementing these strategies, the resort achieves proper standards while minimizing costs and environmental impact.

The Mui Dinh South Resort project commenced in 2018 in Bai Trang beach, Ninh Thuan, Vietnam, and is currently in progress. The design team, led by Creative Director Emmanuel Delarue and Designer David Bedjai, collaborated with architects Hung Vo, Nam Nguyen, Khoa Nguyen, Hoang Cu, Quang Nguyen, and urban planners Cuong Vu, Tu Tran, and Hanh Duong to bring this vision to life.

This exceptional design has been recognized for its ingenuity and creativity, receiving the Bronze A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building, and Structure Design category in 2021. This prestigious award honors designs that showcase technical and creative excellence, contributing to improvements in quality of life and making a positive impact on the world.
