Harmony Mindfulness: A Blend of Nature and Innovation

Residential Space Design by Ping-Yang Chen Wins Silver A' Design Award

Harmony Mindfulness, a residential space design by Ping-Yang Chen, has been recognized for its unique blend of natural elements and innovative design techniques. The project, which was completed in 2020 in Taoyuan, Taiwan, has been awarded the Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2021.

The design of Harmony Mindfulness is a testament to the designer's ability to create a space that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The project, which spans 125 square meters, is presented in a natural and casual mix and match style, with a variety of styles and tones, to meet the needs of different life, to taste the current spiritual feelings.

What sets Harmony Mindfulness apart from other designs is its unique use of materials and design techniques. The guest restaurant area is designed to be independent yet connected in series, achieved through the use of a wall-mounted rotating column TV. This innovative design allows for the space to be rotated according to current needs, minimizing unnecessary space waste.

The kitchen area of Harmony Mindfulness uses carbonized veneer, providing a consistent visual sense with the original plant effect of the water plant tank. The overall style of the master bedroom also uses the material of carbonized veneer as the main axis, allowing other walls to use matte texture to set off the theme of the main wall.

The design of Harmony Mindfulness also takes into account the principles of sustainable development. The use of natural thin stone slabs and the reduction of ceiling decoration are just some of the ways in which the design minimizes environmental impact. The exposed ceiling also serves to distinguish space, save materials, and reduce energy consumption.

Despite the challenges faced, such as the problem of western sun exposure, the design team was able to overcome them through innovative solutions. The use of electric organ curtains with an air layer in the middle allows for heat insulation in summer and winter. Additionally, all households use Daikin heat exchangers, which can automatically control the temperature and humidity, PM2.5, carbon dioxide concentration, formaldehyde, organic gas, etc. of the home air through artificial intelligence and exclusive weather monitoring, reducing allergens for indoor residences.

In conclusion, Harmony Mindfulness is a design that embodies the principles of sustainability, innovation, and aesthetic appeal. Its recognition as a Silver A' Design Award winner is a testament to the skill and creativity of its designer, Ping-Yang Chen, and his team.
