Beimu Flagship Store: Redefining Commercial Space

A Unique Approach to Brand Identity and Business Interaction

When it comes to modern commercial space design, aesthetics alone are no longer enough. The Beimu flagship store, designed by Huson, director of ODO office, takes a different approach by emphasizing space and creating a captivating environment that retains visitors and enhances brand identity.

The client of Beimu flagship store had a clear vision - to improve their brand paradigm through space design strategy. Huson, along with his team, embarked on a creative journey that involved rethinking the business model, understanding consumer psychology, and infusing cultural aesthetics into the design.

The design of the Beimu flagship store stands out due to its unique properties and strengths. The facade of the building features black and white color blocks cut out with simple lines, creating a striking visual impact. The brand logo takes center stage, while a small window invites passers-by to peek inside, establishing a sense of curiosity and intrigue. The use of red and black creates a maze-like experience, guiding visitors to explore and discover the unexpected. Mirrors, stairs, and clever lighting techniques further enhance the connection between people and space.

The store, covering an area of 800 square meters, is not just a place for commercial transactions. It offers multiple negotiation scenarios, providing visitors with a range of options to suit their needs. The combination of tables and chairs of different scales and styles creates an atmosphere that goes beyond business, transforming the space into a clubhouse for old friends gathering and a place for leisure and relaxation for the surrounding residents.

The Beimu flagship store project began in Dongguan in April 2020 and was completed in September 2020. Since its opening, it has been praised for its innovative design and its ability to create a unique brand experience. The design team, including Huson, Zhou Yanjie, Yi Yongxian, Lin Wuyuan, Ye Bohui, and Tang Xiaobo, worked tirelessly to overcome the challenges of symbol and spirit communication, ensuring that the essence of the brand was effectively conveyed through the space.

The Beimu flagship store design has garnered recognition and accolades. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2021. This prestigious award recognizes designs that demonstrate creativity, resourcefulness, and a commitment to improving quality of life.

The Beimu flagship store is a testament to the power of design in transforming commercial spaces into captivating environments that engage visitors and enhance brand identity. Huson and his team have successfully created a space that goes beyond aesthetics, offering a unique and immersive experience for all who enter.
