The inspiration behind Evin Akli lies in the need for a flexible software and design architecture that can adapt to new devices and features. This application not only allows users to track their electricity consumption levels but also keeps their existing device open to development with new features and programs. Furthermore, it ensures accessibility for visually impaired users with voiceover and talkback compatibility.
What sets Evin Akli apart from other designs is its ability to support the addition of new devices, functions, and features due to its flexible structure. The interface and experience design are designed similarly, ensuring that users can quickly learn to use and control newly added devices. The application is available on the market for both iOS and Android users and is designed for all Android, iOS smartphone sizes, and 16:9 and wider Smart TVs.
The Evin Akli application boasts an easily understandable and usable UX/UI design and information architecture. It offers specialized functions such as Remote Control, Assistant, User Scenarios, and Easybill, providing convenience to the customer. The consistent UI and information architecture result in a unified UX, enabling users to control devices intuitively.
The project, which started in 2018 in Manisa, was realized in 2019 and is still being developed. The Vestel UX Group conducted user research and A/B testing according to the appropriate user group to define exact user needs and related project guidelines. The group created user journey maps and combined them with suitable interfaces to create better user experiences for Vestel smart device users. The design of the Evin Akli mobile application's interface was a challenge, but the team managed to design it for easy use while considering Vestel smart devices' design style and today's aesthetic values.
Evin Akli has been recognized for its outstanding design, winning the Silver A' Interface, Interaction, and User Experience Design Award in 2021. The award is given to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that illustrate outstanding expertise and innovation. The copyrights for Evin Akli belong to Vestel, 2021.
