Tsarsky Reserve, a new direction of NESANS Company production, has recently emerged as a rising star in the meat industry. To create a design that could easily be adapted to future products without the need for costly redesigns and photoshoots, designer Natalya Bilousova drew inspiration from patterns and kaleidoscopes. This unique approach allowed for a single solution that could be applied to millions of other packages, ensuring consistency and efficiency in the brand's visual identity.
Breaking away from the traditional presentation of meat products, Tsarsky Reserve's packaging series aims to be vibrant and eye-catching. Instead of showcasing food on a plate, the design incorporates patterns and bright color spots to create an attractive composition. The use of a black block with text information and icons further enhances the overall visual appeal. Icons representing the main types of meat used in the products help consumers navigate the ingredients, while a prominent icon displaying the percentage of real meat emphasizes the brand's commitment to naturalness.
The packaging itself consists of foldable paper that is wrapped around a plastic box containing the product. With a standardized size of 180mm width, 45mm depth, and 226mm height, the packaging offers a sleek and convenient solution for frozen semi-finished meat products.
One of the key challenges in this project was to design a logo that could be used for both the food and souvenir branches of Tsarsky Reserve. By finding a simple yet impactful solution, the designer successfully created a cohesive brand identity that resonates with consumers.
By deviating from traditional food packaging visuals and incorporating patterns, bright colors, and a contemporary design approach, Tsarsky Reserve's packaging stands out among its competitors. The simplicity of the forms adds a touch of universality, making the product appealing to a wide range of viewers.
This innovative packaging design has received recognition for its creativity and ingenuity. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category in 2021. This prestigious award honors designs that demonstrate outstanding technical and creative skills, contributing to improvements in quality of life and making the world a better place.
