The Cherish Food illustration design stands out for its holistic portrayal of food conservation. Chunli Zhou, the talented designer behind the Cherish Food illustration design, drew inspiration from the concept of sustainable development and the traditional virtue of cherishing food. One of the design's notable features is the incorporation of Chinese idioms, which symbolize the hard-won nature of grain. Through the use of translation and Procreate software, Zhou skillfully blends connotation and aesthetics, resulting in a design that is both meaningful and visually striking.

The Cherish Food illustration design was developed as a project at Northeastern University in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, China. The project commenced in December 2021 and concluded in February 2022. Throughout the design process, Zhou faced creative, technical, and research challenges, which were overcome through meticulous attention to detail and the application of innovative design techniques.

Recognized for its exceptional design and contribution to the field, the Cherish Food illustration design was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2022.
