Yun Park: A Masterpiece of Modern Architecture and Design

Yongna Sheng's Award-Winning Sales Office Design Inspired by Chinese Gardens

Yongna Sheng, a contemporary designer, has crafted an architectural marvel in the form of Yun Park, a sales office located in Tianjin's Xiqing District. This unique design, inspired by the tranquility of Chinese gardens and the city's largest wetland park, won the prestigious Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2023.

The design of Yun Park is a testament to Sheng's ability to seamlessly blend modern architecture with traditional Chinese aesthetics. The indoor atmosphere is imbued with the Chinese literati temperament of "Wen Wen Er Ya". The dome, made of overlapping geometric shapes, resembles petals and diamond cut surfaces, symbolizing romanticism and eternity. The space is adorned with geometric stitching patterns and streamline interweaving, creating a dynamic yet elegant ambiance.

What sets Yun Park apart is its location and the inspiration drawn from it. Situated adjacent to the city's largest wetland park, the sales office is enveloped in a transparent glass facade, reminiscent of a Chinese garden. This design allows for the integration of emptiness and tranquility, creating a space that is both secluded and victorious. The concept of "identifying thousands of pursuits in a square inch" is beautifully encapsulated in this design, with each step revealing a new scene.

The realization of this design was a meticulous process. The project, spanning over two months, involved thorough understanding of the project's pain points and the needs of Party A through communication and on-site investigation. The design scheme was completed through brainstorming by the internal designer team of the company. The designer was present throughout the implementation of the project, ensuring that the vision was brought to life accurately.

Yun Park spans an area of 850 square meters and is a testament to Sheng's commitment to quality and precision. High-quality stone, leather, and large-area glass curtain walls were used in the construction, sourced from several countries and regions. The aim was to showcase the invisible Tianjin spirit and feeling through interior design. The bright green Ma Ruiqi sofa and the art painting with the wall background form a strong visual perception, while the natural luxury stone tabletop sets the tone for the overall stable texture of the space.

Despite the challenges, Sheng's design philosophy of exploring and experimenting with modern design from the perspective of architecture, space, and nature shines through in Yun Park. The design emphasizes the principle of functionalism and creates a unique temperament for the project. This commitment to unique design creativity and attention to detail has resulted in a space that not only serves its purpose but also stands as a testament to the urban culture of Tianjin.

Yun Park's design and execution have been recognized with the Silver A' Design Award, a testament to its outstanding expertise and innovation. This award is given to designs that showcase a remarkable level of excellence and introduce positive feelings, amazement, and wonder. With its unique blend of modern architecture and traditional Chinese aesthetics, Yun Park is indeed a deserving recipient of this prestigious award.
